The reconstruction Peter Fechter’s death, a Berlin Wall refugee on August 17th, 1962. Peter Fechter’s attempt to escape well was the most famous tragic case happening at the Berlin Wall. Fechter bleeded to death after more than one and a half hours, without any sort of help. Karl Eduard that same evening: “Stay away from our borders and you avoid blood and tears – have a nice Sunday evening.” The documentary lets family members, eye witnesses of the murder in the corner of Zimmerstrasse and Charlottenstrasse report. After the opening of the wall, it was possible for us to meet the people involved.
